Wildfire, Born of Champions
Soul Asset, "Wildfire", is a bay gelding out of some legendary Thoroughbred racehorses. He has show me he has potential for great things. He is a level headed horse, smart...sometimes too smart, and isn't bothered by things that usually spook horses. If he does get startled he isn't over reactive by whatever startled him, he investigates if possible. I have worked alot of desensitizing him to "scary" things. I never made a big deal about an object, I just let him investigate on his own since he showed me that he was curious about pretty much anything new. Most things became a "toy" to him so he never was scared by the objects. I hope with what I have already done with Wildfire it will make it that much easier for the trainer to work with him to be trained under saddle.

Wildfire has a good pedigree of successful racehorses. His sire Perfect Soul was a winner who was sired by Sadler's Wells out of the mare Ball Chairman, who was the daughter of the famed Secretariat. I have traced Wildfire's pedigree back to the 4 founding Arabian sires that were the foundation of the Thoroughbred breed.
The Godolphin Arabian, Darley Arabian, Byerley Turk, and Curwen's Bay Barb helped to create the Thoroughbred we see today.

Curiosity & Vigilance
Temperament is a complex trait influenced by multiple genetic and environmental factors. Individual components of temperament are potentially under different controls. Curiosity in the horse has been defined as an interest in novel objects and a willingness to approach them. Vigilance refers to the tendency of a horse to examine its surroundings. For this particular SNP, horses homozygous for the G allele (G/G) displayed both higher curiosity and lower vigilance scores, whereas horses with one or two A alleles (A/A ) had lower curiosity and higher vigilance scores. Horses with one G and one A ( G/A) tended to be both curious and vigilant. - Etalon Diagnostics

"Thoroughbred races are held at a variety of distances, with individual racehorses usually displaying a preference for a range. There is some suggestion that sprint horses (which compete at distances less than 6 furlongs, or 2/3rds of a mile) are more compact and muscular than horses that run at longer distances. This insertion has been associated with racing distance for winning Thoroughbreds at the top level of competition, with C/C (Sprint/Sprint) horses excelling at distances of 8 furlongs or less and T/T (Endurance/Endurance) horses found more in races of 9 furlongs or more. Horses with one copy of each , C/T (Sprint/Endurance) allele won at all distances." -Etalon Diagnostics
Wildfire came to me looking very shabby, raised on oats...tons of oats and basic grass hay in a dry lot. Since he has been with me he has had land to graze, is given a far better diet of a pellet feed that doesn't have oats, corn, soy or molasses ( the things that are known to cause health related issues), along with good quality hay and of course the nutrition of Wildfire's Remedy.
